A reflection guide

A few gentle journal prompts for teens and parents

Take a small pause and choose a question that feels useful today. Teens and parents can write separately, in their own words and at their own pace.

For teens (13+)

Start wherever you are

You can answer honestly, keep it brief, or choose a different question. There is no right way to fill a page.

  1. What took up most of my attention today?
  2. When did I feel most like myself this week?
  3. What is one thing I wish someone understood about today?
  4. What is something small I handled in my own way?
  5. What would make tomorrow feel a little easier to begin?

For parents

Make room to notice

These are for your own reflection. You can take a breath, notice what matters to you, and leave the page unfinished.

  1. What did I notice about my teen today without trying to solve it?
  2. When did we share an easy or ordinary moment lately?
  3. What am I carrying today that I could set down for a little while?
  4. What could I ask, then listen to without rushing to respond?
  5. What is one small way to make room for rest or connection this week?
